International Vocations Ministers Meeting 2026

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

From May 18 to June 6, we, the Missionary Society of Saint Paul (MSSP), held our Vocation Ministry International Conference, attended by vocation promoters from Peru, Pakistan, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Malta.

The conference began with us sharing our personal vocation stories, each testifying to how God had called us to religious life through the values and charism of MSSP. We spoke of the joy and inspiration we experience as we live out our vocation within the Society’s missionary spirit.

We also had the chance to present our efforts in addressing the challenges of inviting young men to respond to the call of religious life and the priesthood. A series of formation sessions followed, covering topics such as understanding today’s youth, the basics of social media publishing, reflections on the human dynamics behind a vocational response, and the spirituality of the vocations minister.

In addition, we attended a seminar with vocation promoters from the Archdiocese of Malta, which focused on the role of family dynamics in vocational discernment. We are especially grateful to CPI Media, under the leadership of Fr. Louis Mallia, for equipping us with practical skills in photography, sound, video editing, and on‑camera presentation.

Beyond the sessions, we were also given the opportunity to visit our older brothers in the community. We are deeply grateful for the missionary zeal they shared with us, which gave us courage and inspiration to continue sharing with young people the joy of living out religious life and the priesthood.

One of the key themes we discussed was the essential role of all MSSP members and Lay Paulists in the Vocation Promotion Ministry. We believe that this ministry is never a one‑man effort. That is why we invite you, dear MSSP brothers, priests, Lay Paulist brothers and sisters, to help guide and accompany young men who feel called to join our MSSP community.

We also recognize that there is a limited number of workers engaged in this ministry. Yet, through our collective efforts and the presence of members both young and old—MSSP brothers, Lay Paulists, and MSSP friends, we can foster a healthy and supportive environment for vocation, where the joy of religious life and the priesthood can be shared more fully.

In Christ,

Rush Tinhay
